Fraser
Island
–
The largest sand island in the world, Fraser Island's abundant
pristine freshwater lakes and crystal clear creeks are great
spots to view flora and fauna.

Whale Watching –
Hervey Bay is
famous for whale watching and there are a number of operates in
the Bay. Operating July till end of September.
Marina-
Located in Urangan, the Marina
offers a beautiful setting for a seafood lunch or a coffee
break. Boats depart daily for Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser
Island and Whale Watching during spring.
Hervey
Bay Famous Pier- Urangan Pier was
once used for ships to port and deliver cargo. Built in 1917,
the original length of the pier was 1107 metres. Now the end of
the structure has been removed for safety reasons and its length
is now 868m, popular for fishing and long walks.

Neptune’s
Reef World-
Displays local live coral and sea creatures in a
natural and chemical free environment, feed the shark and pat
the turtles. Reef World also offers
a ala carte restaurant for lunch and dinner.
Kingfisher Bay Resort-
Ferry departs daily for day trips
to the resort. Friday and Saturday offers an ‘All you can eat’
fresh seafood buffet.
Fun for Kids-
Ten pin bowling, Cinemas, Water slide, putt putt and Go karts.
Virtuosity –
An arcade and games rooms for kids of all
ages. Featuring arcade machines, pool, air hockey and prizes for
everyone.
Beaches and Pool-
Fraser Gateway pool, Aquatic Centre in Pialba. Scarness, Torquay
and Urangan Beach.
Shark Museum
-
Shark Museum has a real life shark hu nter. Vick has had a lot of
experience with these wild predators.
Museums -
Hervey Bay Historical Museum includes 18 historical buildings,
8000 Exhibits and a horse drawn cart. Historical museum is
popular wit school groups and tourists.

Tourist Drives-
Point Vernon and River Heads are both elevated areas on rocky
outcrops, offering stunning views of the sea and natural
foreshore.
Parks and Gardens-
Apex Park, Scarness Foreshore and the Sandy
Straits Botanical Gardens in Elizabeth St Urangan.

Hervey Bay RSL has a range of dining, bar and
entertainment areas, located in Pialba (walking distance from
Fraser Gateway). The Boat
Club is also full of entertainment
with Keno and poker machines and Marina views.

Hire a Scooter in Hervey Bay and see
the sites. Pick up and delivery in Hervey Bay and all that is
needed is a drivers licence.
Skydiving –
Feel the rush of jumping over Hervey Bay.
Take in the thrill of the freefall and soak up the breathtaking

Bird Watching -
726 species on the Fraser Coast. The Discovery channel highly
recommends the Fraser Coast for bird watching. Hervey Bay has a Wildlife Preservation Society.
