There are many things to see and do in Hervey Bay, such as visiting Fraser Island (worlds largest sand island), whale watching or taking a trip back through time in historical Maryborough.

Hervey Bay is the gateway to Fraser Island . Offering beautiful landmarks such as the coloured sands, The Maheno shipwreck and some of Australia's most unique flora and fauna. Fraser Island  is a 'must see' for all tourists. Who knows? You may even spot a dingo! Tours depart daily from Fraser Gateway.

Have you ever experienced the exhilaration of 'eye balling' a humpback whale. You can do this aboard one of Hervey Bay's many whale watching vessels. The season runs from late July till mid October. Half day or full day tours are available. Most include morning/ afternoon tea and lunch, and have kiosks on board. We do strongly recommend booking tours in advance for this busy season.

The Fraser Gateway reception has a wide range of brochures and helpful staff to assist you with all your touring needs. All tours can be booked at reception. Most company's will pick you up and drop you off from your motel room door.
