Hervey Bay Wetside WaterPark – Walking distance from Comfort Inn Fraser Gateway. The water park features hundreds of spouts and jets, fountains interactive play equipment, water slides, surfing, special play area for under-5’s called TotSide, tipping buckets, music and a giant water screen.

Hervey Bay RSL - is located in Pialba, Hervey Bay and is a fantastic venue for entertainment, food and gaming. The Hervey Bay RSL has live bands on Friday and Saturday night. Food and beverages are enjoyed by many of the 19,000 members. Comfort Inn Fraser Gateway is near the Hervey Bay RSL and many members stay with us because it is close accommodation and walking distance from the club.

University of Southern Queensland (Fraser Coast) - Small class sizes and personal face-to-face teaching are aspects that this campus prides itself on. With a range of different undergraduate and post graduate programs available many Australian and foreign students attend the Fraser Coast campus. Comfort Inn Fraser Gateway is the closest accommodation and is within walking distance of the campus.

Hervey Bay's Famous Pier- Urangan Pier was once used for ships to port and deliver cargo. Built in 1917, the original length of the pier was 1107 metres. Now the end of the structure has been removed for safety reasons and its length is now 868m, popular for fishing and long walks.

Shark Museum - Shark Museum has a real life shark hunter! Vic has had a lot of experience with these wild predators.

Historical - Hervey Bay Historical Museum includes 18 historical buildings, 8000 Exhibits and a horse drawn cart. The Historical Museum is popular with school groups and tourists.

Tourist Drives - Point Vernon and River Heads are both elevated areas on rocky outcrops, offering stunning views of the sea and natural foreshore.

Marina - Located in Urangan, the Marina offers a beautiful setting for a seafood lunch or a coffee break. Boats depart daily for Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island and Whale Watching during spring.

Neptune’s Reef World - Displays local live coral and sea creatures in a natural and chemical free environment, feed the shark and pat the turtles. Reef World also offers an ala carte restaurant for lunch and dinner.

Scooter Hire – Hire a Scooter in Hervey Bay and see the sites. Pick up and delivery in Hervey Bay and all that is needed is a drivers licence.

Skydiving – Feel the rush of jumping over Hervey Bay. Take in the thrill of the freefall and soak up the breathtaking views of Fraser Island, the township and the Bay.

Bird Watching - 726 species on the Fraser Coast. The Discovery channel highly recommends the Fraser Coast for bird watching. Hervey Bay has a Wildlife Preservation Society.
